Venus has proven that she's still a powerful force to be reckoned with on grass. She totally powered her way through to another Wimbledon title. Venus gave the world of tennis watchers some wonderful examples of great tennis to behold. A very powerful but elegant and classy tennis player. A genuine champion! A major credit to U.S. women's tennis. Well done!

Once again Venus proves she is still a force to be reckoned with. It is so funny how you guys find excuses when Maria loose, but so quick to point out the Williams sisters as whiner and they fake injuries when they do not win. As competitive as they are it is hard to believe they would fake a injury. Do you know how much money they loose by faking an injury? I know it is hard for some of you to comprehend because you will never see this kind of money let alone make this kind of money with the talent of these ladies. How stupid is that to fake an injury that has kept them out of Tennis for a long time. Well, once again the whiner as you all call the Williams sisters, at least one of them had the last laugh and prevailed. Not only did she win but she won with so much grace and power. Venus not only won the whole thing again, but at the lowest seed to ever win and she destroyed her competition. How befitting of a queen, throughout all the injuries she had, and to the ones who continues to bad mouth her and dispute her injuries, she went out there and destroyed all her competition to shut all of you up and also the commentators. Venus Rules!!! So what can you say? Hit her with all your racial remarks but the truth of the matter is she won. Venus!! Venus!! Venus!! Now all you haters get a life. Leave her parents out of this with the ugly remarks you make of Richard Williams and Oaracen Williams. The two of them are credited with bringing up two beautiful young women who has taken tennis to the levels that it is at now. Women's tennis was never this famous until Venus and Serena came long. Now I will give it to Billi Jean King, Martina N, Chris Evertt were great in their time and did wonderful things for the sport. Maria Sharapova has a long way to go. Some have even said Maria Sharapova has conquered the world of tennis.I think not, she has won some but clearly not enough to make a statement that she has conquered the world of tennis. So forget about the negative, the racial remarks and some of your down right rude remarks about her looks because this moment belongs to Venus Williams 2007 Wimbledon Women's Singles Champion. She is the Queen of 2007 Wimbledon so show some respect and get over it. Go Venus, we love you and are very happy for you.

Now that the Ladies Champion is once again Venus Williams, I would hope that everyone would respect and admire what she accomplished. We all have our favorite players and thats what adds to the fun of being spectators.I use the word "spectators" because that's exactly what we are. If we weren't, we'd be playing Centre Court at Wimbeldon. We must respect the God-given talent. I don't particularly care for Maria however, I respect her tlent and passion. I don't like Henin, but I can't even walk on the court with her and I am amazed by the excitement she brings to the game. The Williams sisters have been a breath of fresh air for the game of tennis. They've made it exciting and fun to watch. Whether hurt or not, they leave everything they have to give to the sport on the court. That's what you call the competitive edge. We all, each and everyone of us, has something that we're good at. It just so happens that Venus is good at tennis. That doesn't mean that she's on her game in every match because we all have down days. So yes, she will loose every now and then. So will Serena, So will Maria, So will Andy. That takes nothing away from them. I admire the grit that all athletes display. I hope that we all someday, can learn to root for our favorite players while respecting those who aren't without finding fault. Congratulations Venus!

Gee Some people never forget the past, and some people can never see how the future has arrived and changed everything.

How a few truly pathetic idiotscontinue to say Venus and Serena should play in Men's tennis.

Why? It's been years since they as the original power players in women's tennis were alone in tennis.

The other woman have caught up with them in terms of power and play.

The tennis these V and S hating dinosaurs is NO longer played by top pro women.

Henin started lifting weights years ago, and while she is just 5'6 or so, she hits almost as hard.

ALL the Russian women copied V and S completely.

Sharapova even screams like Venus.

They play like barbarian savages on the court, almost as if the winner gets to cut the head of the loser LOL Yet strangely NOBODY seems to say Sharapova and the Russian She Beasts from the East(just teasing) should be put in the men's draw. Hmmm I wonder why?

Oh I know they ASSUME like fools that the Russians all must play Kornakova puffball tennis.

They've never seen the typical brutal Sharapova tennis match. They have only seen her pin-up photos and are clueless how when she's playing well she's as ruthless as a single-breasted Amazon.

The ONLY difference between them and V and S on a good can beat any Russian lady on her best day. On bad days any of the top Russians can beat V and S even embarrass them. They win because they throw the power tennis V and S brought to the game right back at them.

Still I'm glad the few dimwits who say that continue to say it, because the truth is whoever has the stupidity to say that shows everyone he knows NOTHING about women's tennis, and the only thing he knows about Women's tennis is Kornakova's bra size.

Bartoli paid the highest praise she could to Venus - she was NOT crying because she thought she was going to beat Venus and didn't.

She was crying because she lost a great match - a great match against the Best Female Tennis player on Grass - THAT IS WHAT SHE SAID - not my opinion.

The drama of matches like this are pure gold for Tennis, and worth 100 Federer vs. Nadel matches.

And anyone who keeps dreaming of the next Connors and AGassi to excite them - well I worry that if that happens their pacemaker my burn out.

That's just another tired, old worthless type of hater comment - and what's good about it is it shows just how pathetically ignorant the person who says something like this is.

I would love to see the ratings for both - I wouldn't be surprise to see Venus and Bartoli smoke the boring men's match.

On the pro V and S side, isn't it time to STOP TALKING about them as if they get no respect?

There is a huge difference between "rooting for the underdog - a VERY ENGLISH tradition" and "not giving any respect."

I do wish some of my fellow Americans would read some British papers, rather than just assume stupidly that the British don't like Venus or Serena.

The BBC.CO.UK is full of Tennis articles where both get endless prais. They get and have always received the respect that ALL champions of the tournament get automatically.

The Brits do NOT have and have NEVER shared the bitter, petty feelings so common in Williams haters.

If you paid Attn. to the Brits AND read their papers, you'd find out they ARE and HAVE ALWAYS BEEN referred to as simply the American Player(s).

Only in the USA was there a fuss and do you still hear comments about their blackness.

The Brits can be bigots like anyone, but they do NOT share the Racism we have in the States.

The best example I saw was how they heavily reported Venus' current Boyfriend, a white golfer.

I wonder how many Americans even know Venus dates.

We don't hear about it, because they don't want to piss off the racists who think they are wrong to date outside their race.

To the Brits, they don't even notice something is supposed to be wrong.

I've always loved V and S, but their days as victims of a system where racism penalized them unfairly IS LONG GONE.

They are winners. They are champions.

To continue to speak about them as "victims" degrades their accomplishments.

It's considered poor taste in most of the world to "cheer like crazy people" for someone who is an overwhelming favorite.

In the UK they love the Underdog. Race had nothing to do with it.

When Venus had been the underdog in a few matches the Brits cheered her on like they do all underdogs.

By the final it was clear Venus was NO underdog, she was clearly set to win it. So Bartoli got the underdog treatment, and Venus got the "great champion" treatment.

I wish Nadal would go to the net. Almost every time Federer went to the net, he'd win the point. Nadal is great, but if he would go to the net, I don't think there is anyone that could beat him, including Federer.

To all of the players; whether male or female I applaud you. I do not see race, sex, nor country when I watch this sport. All I see are people giving thier heart,soul, and spirit to a sport they love. I could not contemplate what it would take to stand on that court surround by thousands of fans, and do what they do. And they do it in the heat, the cold, the rain, and with aches and pains. Sure some are flavored over the other, but when you see the wonderful things that the altheles are doing he magical. So, when there is so many other evils going on in this world lets simply enjoy the beauty of this sports and all of the players. Congratulation to each and every one of them who walk out on that court and sstrive to work hard - win or lose. I think that they are all winners just for stepping on the court. God's speed you guys until the next tourament.
