LOL Hasn't anybody noticed that there are 5 cajillion freezing women who look just like them? LOLOL Their "looks" are merely a function of their ancestors freezing their tushes off. One Russian hockey pro who's from Anna's hometown said that there were MANY better looking girls than Anna Kournikova in just that one city. I don't know about Anna, but I doubt you'll ever see a nude picture of Maria, although it would be a sight to behold! She's way more classy than that, plus she knows she is a roll model for young girls (unlike that tennis player who recently posed nude- what was her name again?)

Davesraves must be thinking of blonde, blue-eyed Elena Dementieva. A few years ago she appeared TOPLESS on a HORSE for a men's magazine! Shaking my head. She got MONEY for taking her clothes off. In STARK contrast, another tennis player we could name posed with her BACK to the camera and with flowers over a critical "juncture" for CHARITY. I don't agree with ANYBODY getting publicly nude for ANYTHING, but it's clear the better situation is the one for charity with the back turned.

No Contest !!! ----Maria Sharapova in a runaway over Anna Kournikova by any measure of beauty, class, talent, or personality. And to whoever said that Elena Dementieva once posed topless on a horse - NYET !!!!! It was another Russian, the 2004 French Open Champion Anastasia Myskina.

I believe the main difference between Anna and Maria is this- despite all of the modeling, the endorsements, and the money, Maria herself has said repeatedly that her tennis comes first- she wants to be the absolute best she can be. The rest is secondary to her. (besides- she would be at odds with her dad if she thought otherwise). Maria has a look that is elegant and wordly, but yet she retains a youthful innocence. I am a tall man and, like most tall men, have a special appreciation for tall women. So, yea, I'm a little biased.

There is no denying that both ladies are extremely attractive in their own way. Anna is "curvier" and Maria "sleeker" for most. But I would a hundred times rather watch Maria do her thing than Anna hers. Maria has charisma, fed in part by her skill and beauty but also by her single minded intensity. Anna not so much, but of course who would not let her eat crackers wherever? ;0) Maria has become so American that I am a little bemused that she does not opt to become a citizen. But her devotion to her native Russia is also singleminded. And one cannot fault her for that.
