Arizona State wrestler Anthony Robles won his 125-pound match by pinfall in the Sun Devils' meet at Cal State Fullerton this month, and if you're wondering why we're talking about college wrestling here, you should get to know Robles, who has become a top wrestler even though he was born with only one leg. Here he is talking over some of his high school wrestling highlights:
Robles said today on ESPN First Take today that he bench presses 300 pounds, well over twice his bodyweight. His story is, I'm sure, an inspiration to many disabled athletes. But I think it does him a bit of a disservice to describe him in such terms, and he says he doesn't like the word "disabled." He's competing against wrestlers with two legs, and there are no rules changes or special accommodations made for him. He's just a college wrestler, and a good one.

This kid has amazing talent. It takes a low class individual to say anything negative about all he has accomplished. He has done so much with what he has while those "haters" aren't doing anything with their lives. He is the most humbled and inspiring person I have seen and I wish him nothing but success in his wrestling career and his life. Ignore the negative Robles, they aren't worth your time or thought.
