Roger Federer will take on Rafael Nadal, again, in Sunday's Wimbledon final.
Federer was outstanding in today's semifinal, reaching his sixth consecutive Wimbledon final by defeating Marat Safin 6-3, 7-6 (7/3), 6-4. Nadal also won in straight sets, beating Rainer Schuettler 6-1, 7-6 (3), 6-4.
Nadal and Federer are by far the two best players in the world. Nadal has lost to Federer in the last two Wimbledon finals, but if he were to beat Federer on Sunday he would, in the eyes of most tennis fans, move ahead of Federer as the best player in the world.

I like Nadal and give him big props.
However, there is only 1 Roger Federer.
Not even the slowed grass of Wimbledon will be able to save Nadal on Sunday. But he should be able to do something no one else has at Wimbledon or its warm-up tourney: Take a set off of Roger.
Then again, I wouldn't be surprised to see Federer sweep away Nadal in straight sets.
Roger is very ticked off that the media has been rooting against him and trying to write him off, looking to elevate people like Ancic as possible vanquishers of the Swiss master.
Fat chance.
Federer is extremely motivated to make up for his French Open performance. If Nadal doesn't immediately jump on Roger, he could be on the other end of a serious all-England Club beatdown. If Federer has the chance, he will thrash Nadal in order to show who's really #1 and take a chunk out of the media at the same time.
5 consecutive titles. 12 major titles overall, on his way to passing Sampras as the all-time leader. Best player ever.
Rafael Nadal, it's time for you to go into the hiding you always do this time of year as hardcourt season approaches.
Tomorrow, you and the media are going to take one on the chin.

Nadal will win Sunday, he is too talented to get a beat down, It will go 5 sets and will be a true heavyweight battle. May the best man win.
I want to see Nadal win here in a big way, it would set up an amazing U.S. Open! To see Federer after losing two Grand Slam finals, and Nadal winning his first non-clay Grand Slam face each other in New York. One brimming with confidence, the other facing the biggest challenge of his greatness makes for spectacular sports theater! In a way tennis needs for Nadal to win, to raise the level of competition between these two players up a notch. It would be tremendous. Federer needs Nadal and Nadal needs him, but Nadal must win to create a rivalry that just might be the greatest in Tennis history.
No MONO excuses for you this time FEDERER FANS!!!.....ROGER is healthy and fine...
I am a fan of both players. They're both awesome & fun to watch. My favorite is Nadal, though. I enjoy his game more & his persona. I would love to see him win his first Wimbledon title on Sunday. It would be magnificent. I love the rivalry between Rafa & Roger, and I hope it continues for many years. I just would love to see an upset here. After Rafa came so close last year, I hope he can win it this year. I do think some of the media has overdone it, though, as far as writing Roger off. It's crazy, and he didn't need any extra motivation. LOL. Good luck Rafa!
I agree a lot with Laura's comments. Both Nadal & Federer are favorites of mine (with Rafa getting the edge, though). I'm writing this after Rafa got his first Wimbledon victory (and it won't be his last). Way to go, Rafa - VAMOS! I totally disagree with Paul Villarreal - Rafa won't go into hiding for hard-court season. If anything, he will just want a break after total tennis devotion from before the French through Wimbledon. He has proven he can win on grass & I believe he can & will win on hard-courts. I think he has a great chance of winning the U.S. Open this year with his determination & coming off of 2-out-of-3 of the Grand Slam events in the winner circle for the year. He is probably the most physically fit of all the players, & he proved himself with his determination & mental fitness by winning the longest ever Wimbledon. He's a tremendous competitor & a true gentleman by his gracious comments he made regarding Roger's performance (although I feel the same about how Federer handles himself with his comments). They are 2 of the very best tennis has to offer!
Federer is still the greatest of his time However every since Sampress mention his record did not last that long. Federer tone down his game. The match with him and Nadel was good but I seen better with Borg.
