Before Sarah Palin Was a Candidate for Vice President, She Was a Sportscaster

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is now the presumptive Republican vice presidential nominee, but it wasn't so long ago that she was Sarah Heath, the sportscaster for KTUU-TV in Anchorage. Here's the video evidence:

"The Iditarod, of course, is the biggy, but it's not the only mushing going on," Sarah Heath said at the outset of her sports report, speaking words that would most certainly not be spoken by sportscasters in the other 49 states.

Overall, I thought she was a little shaky, but no more so than sportscasters in small markets usually are. And her little joke about Tommy Lasorda needing to learn to relax was kinda funny, although she could have delivered it better. I'd say that if things don't work out in politics, she can probably find herself another TV gig.
