Number one ranked USC takes on The Ohio State (ranked 5'th) this Saturday. This is the first time these two teams are facing off in 18 years. In this video we visit a USC pep rally and hear from high-profile Trojans, such as former NFL stars Marcus Allen, Curtis Conway and Daylen McCutcheon. Also find out what Gold-Winning Olympic swimmers Larsen Jensen and Erik Vendt have to say to the Buckeyes. Where were all of these fair-weather Trojan fans at the beginning of the decade? 55,000 fans per game in a 93,000 seat stadium for the 2000 season! I'm 47 and there has NEVER in my lifetime been an empty seat for a game in Ohio Stadium. The only time they seem to care about college football in SoCal is when Ohio State comes to town...
I like Pete Carroll and USC is a good program, but don't toot your own horns about your "following". You don't have a following.

Jimbo Jabber, you need a rest. I'm a Trojan fan and can't stand O.J., but O.J. has nothing to do with this game. You sound like an Alabama or SEC fan. Get over it. USC is and will be #1 while Pete Carroll stays in L.A. Chuckle....chuckle!

They don't even have a following for this game. USC game an extra 20,000 tickets to OSU to sell because they couldn't. Look for a lot of scarlet & gray in the stands saturday. I think they'll be calling it OSU West after this weekend!

Are you "Papa Joe" on drugs? USC sells out and has for decades, but especially in the Pete Carroll era... You have to get there 6 hours in advance just so you can park somewhere... Also, most stadiums in this country hold only about 50--60,000, while the coliseum holds nearly 100,000, yet they're sold out every time! I think you're confusing USC with UCLA -- now there's a stadium that never fills up or sells out. So whatever that yahoo yokel "Papa Joe's Buckeye" is yammering about is so much hogwash! Prepare to be skunked cuz the stupid Buckeye's never play anyone difficult... But tomorrow they will, and they won't know what to do... Boo hoo...

Hey Ashleigh...this is courtesy of The Orange County Register:
USC's average attendance didn't break 58,000 in the two seasons before Carroll's hiring and in his first campaign. The Trojans' streak of 48 consecutive games on live television was snapped in 2001. And revenue streams such as donations, advertising and licensed-merchandise sales lagged; after all, there wasn't exactly a Christmas rush on jerseys featuring Sultan McCullough's No.4.
What part of "fair-weather Trojan fans" didn't you grasp when you foolishly responded to my comments without having a clue?

Bring them Trojans down to Bayou Country so we can spank them like we did the Buckeyes last year and send them home with their tails stuck between their legs. USC may be no. 1 in the Polls, but LSU holds the title baby. Bring it on USC....We most definitely want you....I don't think Ohio State cares to play an SEC team for a while. Between Florida and LSU two years in a row, they know to stay away. Now it's time to put good ole swell headed USC in their place, so talk all the smack you want, all I say is bring it on and the good ole Bengal Tigers will spank that tail and send you screaming. My synopsis....with either team verses LSU....LSU whips them soundly....No Competition!

USC, down in LA,
Hosts Ohio State today.
A fearful clash will soon ensue
TV stuff for me and you.
But for the Trojans tall and strong
And Buckeyes who’s trip’s so long
It will be an epic fight
Winner to take all by night.
Predictions, all by we the fans
(Winners and the also-rans)
Never won a single game
Nor brought either side more fame.
The battle’s fought down on the field.
Winner’s win, Losers yield.
Tonight the clash heard thru the land
Establishes the upper hand.
If showing up’s the greatest part,
Reflects feelings and size of heart,
The winner we already know;
Beanie’s gone, he stubbed his toe!

I just wanted to say thanks to all the great USC fans. I am a Buckeye born and raised, lived in Columbus from birth until I went to Cincinnati for college, but still called central Ohio my home until I was 27 and moved to Las Vegas. But this was honestly my first trip to an OSU road game, and all of the USC tailgating fans were more than happy to welcome us Buckeye fans into your lots and let us celebrate this (what should have been) great game. I walked around and saw kids in USC jerseys tossing a football with kids in OSU jerseys, and myself, though I wasn't able to score a ticket to get into the game, I was welcomed along with a couple other Buckeye fans to enjoy the food and beverages at one of the USC tailgaters party and we watched the game on their TV. And the best part was after the game, when all of us Buckeye fans were walking out of the lot with our heads down in sorrow, there were multiple USC fans coming over and being very nice to us. No rubbing in the loss, just a pat on the back, a quick apology, and reassurance that we still have a great team and that we will be meeting up again next year. Even the guys we tailgated with, the Buckeye fans from Columbus that were with us exchanged e-mail addresses with USC fans so we can all hook up together next year in Columbus, and I will be going back for that game as well.
Thanks again, USC fans, for being so hospitable to all us Buckeyes, I sincerely hope that all of the fans in Columbus will do the same for you next year!
