I must confess. I have actually never had Ashton Kutcher as my football coach and although I think he'd help with my four-step drop, I couldn't see him as much of a sled lover (those things are heavy!). Kutcher, the star or such moves as (checks IMDB) 'What Happened In Vegas' and 'Guess Who', is an assistant coach at Harvard-Westlake and is enjoying the job, but the players aren't so happy.
According to Star Magazine, the first place I go for sports news, Kutcher isn't so popular with some of the younger lads, even being given a rather immature (but kinda funny) nickname.
Coach of the year? Not quite. Kutcher has been having a ball as assistant coach to North Hollywood's Harvard-Westlake School freshman footballers. But the feeling isn't mutual.I mean, if I was Kutcher I might take a little offense to this until I realized that it is HARVARD-WESTLAKE! Honestly, what kind of pretentious talent is coming out of this place? While I'd really like to make a Brady Quinn joke right now, even he seems to be above such a place as Harvard-Westlake.
"The kids want him gone," says an insider. "They think he doesn't know what he's talking about and can't stand his tough-guy attitude."
Out of the huddle, the kids mock their famous coach and have even given him a special nickname: Ashton Doucher!
"Oh scurry, anyone up for a short stint in the coffee barista before heading off to strings class? I feel I need a boost if one is to hit the A-minor properly."
Stupid kids. Don't they realize the man that once saved Kevin Costner from a nasty water rescue is there to help on his own free time?

Having a tough-guy attitude but not knowing the techniques - that's the kind of stuff that can make you a laughingstock in a hurry....and not just as a football coach!
WOW!!! Jessica Simpson posing nude here:

i just couldn't see taking my team seriously if "Kelso" was coaching it. omg.... lmao... "That 70's Team" GTFO...Coach Kelso. buy a team, maybe... or act as a coach. maybe even coach acting... but... this... is a new entertainment.... hahaha
Give a guy a break for trying to have some fun helping kids. We cut on stars when there out partying .Now you want to beat them up for doing normal day to day things
I'm with you mark. I think it's great that this guy is using his time to do this. When I played high school football we had a little guy as one of our asst. coachs and because of that I disrespected him the head coach put me threw tackling practice. I look back and have great respect for him now, knowing that he was doing it for us rather than him. Kids are kids.
I think they are just jealous because he is stealing their thunder from the highschool girls. but hey check out this 12 year old girl tennis player. she may be one of the news makers in the future

This kids are smart and hit the nail on the head by giving him his nickname-that is classic(Out of the huddle, the kids mock their famous coach and have even given him a special nickname: Ashton Doucher!) He should stick to what he knows-nothing!
Just because he's famous and "wants to coach" is zero reason to let him further boost his ego on a bunch of kids.
Demi should sit on the sidelines....that would shut the boys up! May not be able to play ball...but they would be happy little tykes!
has he ever played football and is he even certified to coach football or anyother sport. there is alot more to know than just being a celeb. just out of curiosity does he have a child who plays on the team and what skill position does he coach
What could fire up a team more than "Kelso" giving a pregame pep talk? These kids don't realize how privileged they are to have a B rate actor taking an active interest in ruining their morale. The only headlines my football team made was when the assistant coach got caught screwing several members of the girls softball team (seriously).
Honestly, though, this guy sucks and he isn't trying to "give back", he is having fun by doing what he wants because of his status.
All of you who have had harsh critisisms of Ashton, how many of you have actually met the man? You're own ignorance is showing by making comments about somebody you don't even know. You're assuming that you know him based on the fact that he has been on the big screen. All kids when they get a new coach tend to razz them. Some of the best coaches have stories to tell about earning their teams respect. At least Ashton is doing something positive in his life - he's not berating people on an Internet chat board for sure. :)
If he hasn't really played the game and the kids seem to think he doesn't know very much about it, he doesn't need to be a assistant head coach. Learning the basics of every position, then studying game film, any game film, that should be his first job. After a few games and memorizing the playbook, then he should help out an assistant coach. He has a long ways to go before selling the program to the players.
SOUNDS LIKE A BUNCH OF spoiled hollywood kids
Great. He's having a blast, the kids don't like him, and he's doing somebody out of a job. Can you say "dilittante"?
What? Who ARE you guys??? I GO to this school, kick on the football team that you seem to know so much about, and in case you wanna know how we REALLY feel about how awesome Kootch is, ask me or the guys who really ARE on the team what WE think... Wow. A great guy comes and supports our athletic program, is a blast to be around (pretty funny, too)and kinda knowledgeable about football, and you wanna trash him? Come on over & let's see how good you are! We're there 5 days a week--oh, and so's he. That's not counting our Friday night and weekend games.
Will,
The posts on this forum are made based on the article by Star Magazine, which was written based off of comments made by your football team. If, in fact, the players do not feel that he is a crappy coach, then your issue lies with Star Magazine. Obviously, nobody is going to personally investigate the legitimacy of the article. Based off of the information given, the perception that Ashton sucks is completely warranted.
yeah, i also go to harvard-westlake, and i think all the hubbub about this is ridiculous. he is a great guy, and he does a fine job couching our freshman team. not even VARSITY. so who honestly cares how much experience he has? what upsets me more is not the fact that people are hating on ashton kutcher- however undeserved it is- but the fact that YOU, shane bacon, are hating on my school and students like me. yes, we have a reputation as rich spoiled brats, but honestly. not everyone is like that, and we are not the only private school in los angeles with rich kids in it. harvard-westlake attracts the wealthiest people because it has the best academics and the smarted kids, and i am insulted by your criticism. were you rejected by harvard-westlake, or something? is that the reason for all the animosity? lay off ashton, but more importantly, lay off my school.
