WWE Report: Jeff Hardy Fine, Wrestling Fans Pleasantly Shocked

Earlier this afternoon, WWE had reported that entertainer Jeff Hardy had been found unconscious in a hotel stairwell and rushed to a Boston-area hospital. The story, first announced on WWE.com, suggested we stay tuned to the website for more details. Unfortunately, the last few years of wrestling news have been so sad and hilariously abysmal that many wrestling fans assumed the worst in conjunction with Hardy's history of injuries and drug abuse.

Thankfully, this is one of those times when your "wrestling is fake!" comments are apropos. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online can confirm that the stairwell unconsciousness and hospital-rushage are all part of tonight's Survivor Series pay-per-view. There are also spoilers below, in case you're planning on watching:

Several sources have confirmed this as storyline and that Hardy is expected to be selling the injuries on tonight's Survivor Series show.

There is a lot of speculation this will lead to an Edge vs. Jeff Hardy feud, as Edge will be the culprit. While this feud is not confirmed, there was talk of Edge vs. Hardy at Royal Rumble, and Edge flew from Tampa to Boston last night for the show.

WWE.com has changed their story to the much less scary "Will Hardy Perform?" in reaction to the press, and to make sure the legions of Hardy Boyz fans still order the show. Hopefully they've already filmed a vignette where evil Russian Vladimir Kozlov headbutts Hardy down a flight of steps. For once, the wrestling news isn't so bad. Weird, huh?

What a disgrace! After all of the horrible news about wrestlers in the past few years, Stephanie should be ashamed of herself for allowing her creative team to come up with such a story line. After all of the hard times, mistakes and plain out bad luck (the fire) that Jeff has gone through in the past 18 months, it is not out of the realm of possibility for Jeff to be found in any state so, as a life time fan of prowrestiling I find this absolutely repugnent! Shame on you Steph....

O please, get over it, just because some psycho killed his wife kid and self, doesnt mean that WWE should go back to the same old storylines, people die every day AND WE MOVE ON! Stephanie McMahon-Levesque is a creative genius who should be rewarded for creating such story lines as this!

Oh people get over it! EVERY show and practically every celebrity does outrageous things to promote and draw attention. As if this kind of this is surprising anymore. For those who are surprised... you deserve what you get.

They never know when too much is too much. The worst thing I remember seeing his when WCW's Sid Vicious broken his left leg, snapping both the tibia and fibula, the WWF had some jobber get his prosthetic leg torn off.

ok listen here i think that Jeff Hardy needs his privacy and you are the ones that are bothering him yes i belive gladimere nd the edge did it and you knowhe was found unconcious and huns howcan he get hiself to go unconcious and one more thang i really dont know about Jeff Hardy but he ismuch of a person then we are are so give him his privacy i am pretty sure you dont want to be bothered thank you
