Competing with partner Ivan Shefer in pairs figure skating in Helsinki, Finland, Rubleva's costume started to slip, eventually exposing a full breast (Editor's note: The original photo can be seen here, but is NSFW) to the crowd and judges. But the skaters continued with their routine.
Rubleva and Shefer eventually landed a score of 29.04 to find themselves in 12th place, which is pretty impressive, considering the whole outfit malfunction thing. Though I'm sure it wasn't udder-ly what they were hoping for (sorry, I couldn't resist!)

I'm sorry, but I don't get the rules about nipples. It is the nipple that offends, isn't it? Oddly enough, the rest of the breast, in its entirety, can be shown. I know this, because, repeatedly, on various cable networks, topless females, with the nipples covered by a fuzzy screen, are shown regularly. Also, it seems that, for a while, anyway, the rule against showing nipples applied only to white females. Or was that so-called "civilized" females, maybe? Because it was the Janet Jackson incident that came with the huge FCC fine for showing a Black woman's nipples. Oddly enough, by that reasoning, I figure I saw at least ten million dollars worth of nipples on the old Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom whenever Marlin Perkins ventured into the wild. And, it goes without saying, showing a male's nipples will bring no penalties whatsoever. Last thing, why get so upset at nipples? After all, that's where most people get their first drink, isn't it?
Ha Ha very nice post. Never did make any sense to me either really that a nipple could shock someone the way it seems to. Female nipples are great and I love them but I don't think people should censor them and yeah why the hell do african women get to show theirs off on tribal shows?
ROTFLMAO!!! You speak with humor and truth!!!
Media is just full of it. I don't know why they try to make a big deal over a breast, nipple, areola, WHATEVER!!! Janet Jackson's incident, I don't understand uptight parents talking crap about "Oh My God!! My little children saw her breast!!! What am I to do??!?!?!?!" Well you can shut up because if you have little girls, in ten years, she will have breasts like Janet Jackson. If you have little boys, in ten years he'll want to see breasts like Janet Jackson! GET OVER IT!! Half the damn population have breasts.
By the way, what the hell makes her wardrobe malfunction LEGITIMATE?!?!?!? Hell, at least Janet had the decency to have a pastie on hers. Peter Griffin on Family Guy said it best...."They may just be neurotic, or possibly psychotic, they're the fellas at the freakin FCC."
I agree with every word....hell just think how many of us looked at national geographic just to see the titties (and I know I wasn't the only one).....lol. seriously though what about all the dolls that had huge tits, and no nipples. I think this country is a little too anal about something that doesn't matter that much at all.
Ok now lets turn nipples into a racial issue LOL
LOL !
Mike,
That's EXACTLY what I've been saying for years!! You can look at ANY part of a woman's breast and not be striken blind by god, the patron saint of breasts & nipples, or whoever, but if you so much as get a glimpse of a fraction of areola, the entire universe comes screaching to a halt!! It's LONG since time we all got over it!!!! Nobody says a WORD about a guy showing his nipple, and, if a baby sucks long enough on a man's nipple, he WILL produce milk just like women do!! So, what's the difference, other than the size of the breast, which, obviously, doesn't seem to matter?
Stuff happens! She really needs to learn the joys of double-sided tape or that stick-um stuff. Or better yet, the clear strap on a one-shoulder costume. However, it's really no big deal. People get their knickers in a knot over such trivia. There is war and there are people starving all over the world. This is just a blip on the radar of life.
she did have the clear straps on both shoulders, it just snapped. you can see it hanging behind her. oh well, things happen.
Anyone know how to get that black tape off of the photo?
click the link in the body of the article.
Nipples are SO over rated! Every body close their eyes! There's a boob!!! hahaha!
She's a good kisser, too.
And she looks cold...
Many years ago we went to see a skating show that our daughters were in and the same thing happened. One of the featured skaters did a jump, and when she came down, so did the top of her costume. Must have been very embarrassing.
Whats the big deal, things happen PEOPLE deal with in many diffent ways. DO NOT MAKE A Mountain out of a mole hill.
Well now I finnaly have a reason to attend an ice skating compition.
She looks better with it covered.
It could have been avoided, but like Janet...ooppss
