Too bad about Test. It seems that unless they're able to transcend their talents into Hollywood, like a Rock or Hogan, most wrestlers either die young or become Jake the Snake.
On a side note I had no idea that they drug tested in the WWE. They probably just have a few sacrificial lambs every year to keep congress off their asses. There's no way that 9/10 of them aren't juicing.
THEY DRUG TEST IN PRO WRASSLIN ? MAYBE HE DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH HGH IN HIS SYSTEM
roid raaaaaaaaaaaaaage!!
wwf world wide frauds strikes again its all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ROIDS
It's all about the money? No freakin' kidding. What the #$%@ else would it be about, dumbass?
You people are assholes... Yeah wrestling is fake.. injuries are real and not all are on steroids. Shockingly enough even in the WWE.. alot them have morals and standards to uphold. Have a little pity and sympathy for the families that have to go through this tragedy. You dont know him or what happened.. HOw about until then you get your ignorant opinions to yourself. Heath Ledger died of a drug overdose.. yet most still praise the hell out of him.. Have a little respect for the dead.. at least he didnt kill anyone else like another wrestler did.. GROW UP!
Shawnah...
Yes sympathy should be shown for Test's family.
On the other hand get you friggin details right before you rant. Heath died from a drug overdose yes, not as you wish to make it out to be though. It was an accidental DO ya moron! He was taking lower doses of meds than most Americans these days. He had 2 drinks. NOTHING was over any legal limit and his meds were low dose. Most meds the pharm co.s put out there are nothing short of poison. ONE dose (one pill) of Imatrex for a migrane put me into heart failure. Thank the Lord I was actually in the hospital when I took it. I have medical probs due to years of cancer and I am telling you, the cure is MUCH worse than the curse! I have gone toxic many times on new meds. "let's try this one and that one" and POOF they are bringing me back to life yet again. Take a couple of Motrin and have a beer lady, sit back and enjoy the vomiting and cramps. Lest we forget that an OD on Vicodine is not an OD to the codine but to the Tylenol in it! The codine might relax you, cause you to sleep, they Tylenol shuts down your body!
Funny as it is I was thinking about Eddie the other night while watching his brother wrestle on WWE Smackdown . Eddie , of course , died from Steroid abuse . God rest his soul and God rest this young mans soul . My thoughts and prayer go out to the WWE family , friends and co-workers .
Rest in Peace " Test " .
Well....another young wrestler is found dead. Chances are (in my opinion) that he died of an overdose or complications there of. It's odd how wrestlers die, WWE gets put into the spotlight, talked about, "investigated" and then things quiet down. Then sometime down the road, a wrestler dies. How many more wrestlers is it gonna take before something actually gets done? WWE/Vince McMahon don't care about the wrestlers and their lives, problems....as long as they bring in the money. They stop bringing in the money, out the door they go.
I agree with most everything you say, but, nobody is holding a gun to these guys' heads telling them that this is the profession they have to choose. They know the risks and most know the nature of the business. They do it for the fame and fortune and then have to live with the consequences later.
It's pretty sad how the tradegy strikes. To be honest, I think he was a pretty good wrestler (in my opinion). I have no idea why he would die this way, and how he became talented in the WWE.
We miss ya, Test.
i think test probaly died of heart disease from steroid abuse are he over dosed. theres a click in wrestling and when the steroid issu comes up in there ranks they all cover for one another thats a pack they have you can tell.like when benoit did what he did the wrestler past and now went on a media blitz to stamp out the idea that steroids were rampant in the biz. anybody with any common sense can see that these guys are juicying to get the bodys they have got. look at wrestlers and atheletes from say 30 - 40 years ago the were no were as well chisled as today wrestlers and they had far more time to work out as the wrestlers today. there schedule werent as demanding back in that era. i dont believe that its highly likely that a large percentage of wrestlers would get these bodys with out juicing. in earlier days when guys worked out they got big but it was more of a bulky look then a sculpted look.
"Shawnah said ... wrestling is fake ... not all are on steroids ... alot them have morals and standards ... Heath Ledger died of a drug overdose ... yet most still praise the hell out of him ... at least he didnt kill anyone else like another wrestler did ... GROW UP! ...
Shawnaw,
First, wrestling isn't "fake", it is a rehearsed athletic entertainment event ... there is a difference. Second, no not all are on steroids, but quite a lot are ... probably more are than are not. When you see the "amazing" rapid change in the appearance of some of the wrestlers (including Vince McMahon, his son-in-law, Paul, aka Triple H, etc) you can understand why ... I mean, if the owner and his son-in-law are doing it why not everyone else too. Third, morals and standards? Where did you get that? Holy cow! What a far fetched statement to make about wrestling! I'm not even sure where to go with that one it is so ridiculous. And finally, Heath Ledger is not getting kudos from ANYONE for being an alcoholic and drug addict ... He was a fine actor ... that is all ... and he screwed up ... Elvis did too ... whoopie squat for both of them. Finally, bringing up the wrestler who murdered his family was uncalled for and unacceptable. You should be ashamed.
another dead wrestler.. i am done watching that crap anyways..something needs to be done...WRESTLING UNION ANYBODY..i think so..
I hate to see this happen again..
I loved it when Test was with Stephanie on air in 1999
But there is something I never understand and thats is when ever something like this happens everyone always blames either the WWE or The Mcmahon Family. When are people goning to realize that they can only do so much if one of their wrestlers decides to break the rules then thats there own damn fault not The Mcmahon family or The WWE. Everyone always focuses on the negeative when it comes to the WWE but never the all the positive things that they do.
My Heart goes out to Andrew "Test' Martins Family.
And May He Rest In Peace.
I AGREE NIKKI. TEST WASNT EVEN IN THE WWE WHEN HE DID THIS. HE FAILED A DRUG TEST IN 07 AND GOT FIRED SO STOP BLAMING EVERYTHING ON THE WWE AND VINCE. TO THE CLOWN THAT SAID VINCE DONT CARE. U DUMBASS, THEY GROWN ASS MEN. HE DIDNT PUT THE ROIDS TO HIS MOUTH AND SAY "EAT THE ROID ANNA MAE". WWE IS THE BEST FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT ON TV BESIDES BASKETBALL. R.I.P TEST!!
They absolutely drug test in the WWE. I don't understand why people don't know this. WWE puts a lot of effort into there health and wellness program. All wrestlers are tested and if they fail they are suspended or fired. They even help former wrestlers through rehab on their own dollar.
People have the wrong perception of the WWE and it is ridiculous. Athletes of every kind take enhancement drugs. There is way to much focus on the WWE and steroids, an industry that does not condone steriods at all.
Drugs are apart of our culture and have always been. Even high school football players take steroids. Kids are freaking smoking Smartees now for god sake. Give me a break. We are all individuals who can make our own decisions in life. A corporation should not be blamed for an individuals poor decisions in life.
People need to get a clue before opening your ignorant mouths and pontificate about things you don't understand fully. You can't read something in a magazine or online and think you're an expert on something.
Thanks Test for the entertainment. RIP
