Christian Bázan of Spain Sets New World Record for 90-Degree Pushups

Christian Bázan of Spain has set a new world in 90-degree pushups, with 12. When I first heard that I wasn't too interested because I didn't know what 90-degree pushups were. But after watching the video, I have to admit I'm impressed.

Bázan's record, which has been verified as the most ever by Guinness, is for a special kind of pushup done with only the hands on the ground. Bázan starts with his body parallel to the ground, then goes all the way up into a handstand position, then goes back down to have his body parallel again -- all without ever touching the ground with any part of his body other than his hands.

I just tried one and couldn't even get myself into the start position, let alone push myself up into a handstand. Congratulations, Christian Bázan.
