The Jaked J01 swimsuit was temporarily banned by FINA (the International Swimming Federation) earlier this year because it supposedly gave swimmers an unfair competitive advantage. Recently, it's been the subject of talk of an entirely different sort, as an ill-located tear in the suit forced Italian Olympic swimmer Flavia Zoccari to sit out of a championship race.At the Mediterranean Games on Wednesday, Zoccari (right) was forced to stand down from competition after the back hinge of the bathing suit tore, leaving a large portion of Zoccari's backside exposed.
Jaked, the manufacturers of the suit, boast that the J01 is "more than skin," but in Zoccari's case all it did was show more skin.
Zoccari, who was flooded with tears of embarrassment after the mishap, later apologized for the incident.

It obviously didn't occur to you, driesbrown, that her suit ripped and her backside was revealed on front of a huge crowd and possibly on TV. That's really embarassing. She also didn't get to compete in a compitition that she trained really hard for. Put yourself in her position. I betcha you'de be crying too

you can say that because it was not your bootay that was exposed. Any human being would be embarrased about that.

I think she was crying because she was disqualified from the race.

first of all, no swimmer would be at a meet with just one suite. second, a friend of mine had this happen at states in high school. the back of his totally ripped. he still raced, and won first place. it was awesome.

I think it should be equal, all nude swimming, why do they need a bathing suit anyway. Their not bathing, their swimming. I would like to see that at the Olympics.

Yeah, nude swimming in the Olympics. They can not look any worse than Spitz in the 1968 Olympics.

that would just cause a problem because then you would get guys saying "Why do the girls get to use bathing suits while we have to be naked." in other words that would be sexist
