NFL Championship Belt. The premise is pretty simple, really: the first team to beat the Steelers then holds the title belt (just like boxing!)... until they're taken down. And we'll do this every week because, well, it's not enough to just watch football and enjoy it. The Steelers defeated the Titans in Week 1, which means that they head to Chicago for Sunday afternoon's game as the defending champs. Before we get to the Tale of the Tape after the jump, a quick look back at how the 2008 season unfolded:
The Giants, by defeating the Pats in Super Bowl XLII, had the championship belt. They held onto it till Week 6, when the mighty Cleveland Browns (!) wrested it away.
That lasted a week; the Redskins beat the Browns the following Sunday and a fortnight later, Pittsburgh first got the belt when it defeated Washington. Six days later, the Colts left Heinz Field as NFL champs, and they held onto it for the rest of the season.
The Chargers then beat the Colts in the wild-card round, and the Steelers recaptured it during the divisional get-together. Two games later, Pittsburgh had won its sixth Super Bowl, and more importantly, were the NFL heavyweight champs.

This has to be the most idiotic blog I've ever read in fanhouse, and that's saying something. Most of you "journalists" should be butt boys at TMZ.
