There are so many great things about being a Party Pass holder at the shiny new Cowboys Stadium, as this video illustrates. For instance: for 30 bucks you can't actually see the Cowboys, which, frankly, is a bargain. It also means that you can wallow in misery with hundreds of other party passers who share your fate. (Because, really, there's nothing sadder than having to endure your plight alone.)
And then there are the great views to the parking lot, the upper deck, the huge hole in the roof (where, I'd imagine, party passers pray to the heavens for an asteroid strike), not to mention access to the WORLD'S LARGEST HDTV. All because Jerry is thinking about the little guys.
For the most part, anyway. Via the Dallas Morning News:
The Cowboys sent an e-mail to those [fans] who bought [party pass] tickets to explain how they worked. So, right: some fans had a miserable experience, the Cowboys lost, Jerry was immortalized on YouTube, and even the New York Times architectural critic was unimpressed with the new digs. ("The result is a somewhat crude reworking of old ideas, one that looks especially unoriginal when compared with the sophisticated and often dazzling stadiums that have been built in Europe and the Far East over the last few years.")
"Some Party Pass areas of the stadium may fill to capacity," the e-mail said. "When that occurs, you will no longer be provided access to those specific areas. In such an instance, you may be asked to move to an area with available space (including the plazas). With that in mind, we have designed outdoor bars and very large video screens with live broadcasts of the game on the plazas just outside the party decks."
Upside: it can't get worse. And if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Emmitt Smith "serenading" up some pork during the next pregame tailgate.

I had a great view with my Party Pass. Best 29 bucks I ever spent. The thing is... it's like going to a general admission concert. Be prepared to arrive early and stand in your spot to keep it. Also, these pictures are from the main deck, the smaller decks are easier to get a decent view. The Giants game was worse than the Carolina game too.
