Bad news, New England fans. The fine folks at Tecmo Super Bowl Repository have the Week 3 Falcons-Patriots game (all 10 minutes, 24 seconds of it) Tecmo-nized and the results are, well, humbling.

(For the tech geeks interested in how they managed to update the old-school Tecmo with new-school rosters, knock yourself out. For the rest of you, just enjoy the fact that the Patriots lost again, even if it's make believe.)

For Pats fans looking for the silver lining, here you go: Tom Brady looked like the 2007 version, not the guy who spent the first two weeks of the season on his back. He finished the game with 306 yards in the air completed 61 percent of his passes. And Wes Welker, who missed the Jets game with a bum knee, had 111 receiving yards on two catches.

As for the huge dark cloud inside the silver lining, the Falcons rushed for 211 yards on 19 carries, and Michael Turner accounted for 140 of them. So, right, the defense is still a mess.

The Patriots, now 1-2 (as far as I'm concerned, anyway), host the Ravens a week from Sunday. In related news, the team has just signed Bo Jackson.*
