Sunday will mark Michael Vick's official return to the NFL. He last played in 2006 before spending most of the next two years in court or in the can for the whole sordid dogfighting thing. But the man has served his debt to society and he deserves a chance to make a living. At least that's how Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie is rationalizing it.
There will be plenty of time to dissect the nuances of Vick's performance, but for now, just know this: he fancies highfalutin' steakhouses (see Philly.com gossip video after the jump for confirmation).
But there's more: Ron Mexico took his fiancé to Union Trust Steakhouse recently and ordered something not on the menu: jumbo fried shrimp. Scandalous, I know.
This is sure to incite the Shrimp-4-Life lobby. Which reminds me: last weekend, PETA held a protest outside the airport Mariott -- where Vick is currently holing up -- which must have been great fun for everybody staying there who hadn't previously murdered puppies. Suddenly, listening to the droning of jet engines doesn't sound so bad.
And in case you're wondering, it's an easy drive from the airport to Union Trust. Nine miles, three turns, that's it.

I first read about this at Manlymanstuff.com and thought, wow these PETA people really need to get a life. I bet every one of those protesters have done something in their lives that they regret and would not want to get out.
