ABC has a new drama titled Flash Forward. In the pilot, the entire world "flashes forward" six months, seeing two minutes of April 2010 before returning to normal. This will apparently unleash a season's worth of epiphanies and attempts to change course.But it also allowed for a few jinxes. Such as the inclusion of a headline in a newspaper one of the characters sees during his flash forward. The newspaper, dated to April 29, 2010, cites that Kobe Bryant has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of his season. The playoffs will have begun by then, as Forum Blue & Gold notes, and there's no telling who the Lakers will be facing in the first round. Nonetheless, I'm sure the folks at ABC Sports (which carries the NBA Finals) would be totally thrilled with a Kobe injury.
