Umpire Tim Tschida Does His Best Lt. Frank Drebin Impersonation

As the Major League Baseball season comes to a close, it seems the only thing being talked about is the lack of compelling pennant races, or how baseball has been lost in the overwhelming popularity of the NFL and NCAA football.

That didn't stop umpire Tim Tschida from creating his own excitement on Monday night when he called Houston Astros pitcher Yorman Bazardo for a balk, demonstrating what the young pitcher did wrong with what appeared to be some creative dancing. (Video after the jump.)

The first thing that comes to mind after watching that clip, obviously, is Lt. Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun when he disguises himself as an umpire to search for the robot assassin.

WHAT IS
BACK PORCH?

The easy answer:
Back Porch exists because FanHouse doesn't have a basement for its bloggers. The bigger picture? BP covers sports news that's funny, off-beat and controversial. In short, it's the other side of sports, covered with an edge. Enjoy.
