This is a couple days old but, really, there's always room for more Tom Brady news. You're welcome. Sunday night Rodney Harrison, former Patriots cheap-shot expert turned NBC studio analyst, had some advice for Brady following Baltimore-New England game: "... Tom Brady, if you're listening, take off the skirt and put on some slacks -- toughen up." The comments were in reference to this play, one that left Ray Lewis very sad.
Predictably, Patriots fans didn't find the humor in Harrison's remarks, even though he was kidding. Via Peter King's MMQB: "...just after midnight, [Rodney] called my cell and said, 'Can you believe this? I WAS JOKING! I had a smile on my face! I texted Tom and told him I was going to have fun with this, and he had no problem with it at all. He thought it was funny.'"
And during his weekly radio appearance, Brady seemed fine with Harrison's fashion pointers.
"Rodney's been fined more than any player in the history of the NFL, so I can understand why he's a little sensitive about cheap shots at the quarterback."Hugs and kisses for everybody.
In other Patriots news, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the team will wait until next week to sign 40-year-old linebacker Junior Seau. During his Monday press conference, head coach Bill Belichick addressed the rumors but, as usual, didn't clear anything up.
"Well, I noticed he was doing some bull riding, bull stomping, or some bulls were stomping him, or whatever it was," Belichick said with a smile, referring to Seau's recent run-in with a bull while filming an episode for his reality show. "We'll have to take a look at that workout and see how he looked doing that."I see the Evil Robot's most recent software update included a humor patch.
