The storylines heading into Tuesday night's play-in game between the Tigers and the Twins were the postseason implications and, obviously, whether Miguel Cabrera would be sober in time for the first pitch.

No word on the latter, but lost amid the chaos that enveloped the Metrodome shortly after Carlos Gomez crossed home plate to give the Twins the AL Central title was this little bit of heaven.

Childish? Yep, without a doubt. But people running really fast and then falling down is also funny. Especially since nobody was hurt.

Plus, credit to the camerawoman for her moxie. An infield face plant didn't keep her from doing her job; seconds after going down she was back on her feet chasing the story. That's what I'm going with, at least. It sounds much more dignified than "she's clumsy, had no business walking much less running, and went down in front of 50,000 people."
