It all started with the bogus personal foul penalty on the Ravens' Terrell Suggs for his late And that was that, right?
Not quite. Even though Brady kidded that, "Rodney's been fined more than any player in the history of the NFL, so I can understand why he's a little sensitive about cheap shots at the quarterback," according to the Boston Globe, he's not apologizing for whining to the official for a flag following the Suggs fly-by.
"I want the penalty call,'' said Brady. "I want 15 yards. I don't care whether they hit me or not, that's an advantage for our offense.'' He added with a grin, "I go hug the ref before the game, ask about his kids and stuff like that. I'm trying to get him on our side.''So, more cheating coming out of New England? Shocking.* As for the "Brady Rule," which was hastily implemented after Bernard Pollard ended Brady's 2008 season 15 minutes after it begun, its namesake isn't embarrassed by that either:
"Well, the 'Tuck Rule' was kind of associated, too,'' said Brady. "I'm sure all of the Jets fans love it. Rodney [Harrison] obviously does. Whatever they call it, they call it. "We don't make the rules, we just play by them, and I think we were on the fortunate end of a few of them this week. Other times, we haven't been. Like I've said, in the end, they probably all even out.''Like that one time ... well, there was that game ... um, okay, I got nothing. I can't remember the last time the Pats didn't get a call. Selective memory, no doubt.
Good news, however: the league told the Ravens that there would be no fines for lightly touching Brady.
* That's a joke. It's not shocking at all.

Get that yardage any way you can, Tommy, even if it means whining like a little girl. That skirt looks good on you.

Isnt it great how when a flag is call against a team when they are playing the pats its analyzed and looked at with a fine tooth comb? He touched TOM KNEE!!!! thats a damn penalty i dot give a damn if his pinky scrapes his knee...in this league thats a personal foul...so all you losers(Jets, Dolphins Colts, Bills fans..." can just shut up and continue watching your sub par teams(maybe not the colts) get their asses kicked...thats all for now....

Wow, this is an embarrassing blog. I mean, saying you don't remember the last time the Pats didn't get a call? This isn't 2004.
Does this guy not remember the title game agaisnt the Colts, when Banta-Cain's hand barely grazed Manning's head, drawing a ludicrous penalty in the closing minutes? What about the other five or six calls/non-calls that went against NE, like a face guarding call on Hobbs (a penalty that no longer existed) and the rarely if ever called pick play called on Troy Brown near the end of the first half, when the Pats were looking to put the horseshoes away, a call that saved the Colts by allowing them to make it a two score game before the half.
As for the Pats-Giants SB, check out the photos of Eli's escape in an August issue of SI that year, and you can see the game's most obvious non-call since Neon Deon held Irvin's arms in the '93 NFL title game. Under a photo of Seymour being hog-tied around the neck from behind, the caption reads, "...neither in the grasp or holding was called during the play..."
Wonder why multiple holding penalties were called in the following Super Bowl, including one for a safety in the closing minutes? Someone (a sports blogger that doesn't suffer from severe jealously, maybe?) might have had the foresight to suggest this non-call and others had a lot to do with it. But to do so would've suggested that, yes, big calls go against the Pats and every other team in the league.
Should Pats fans complain about these two games? I suppose not. Like it's been said, they've had their share of breaks, too (though they were the better team in almost all of these games, including all three SB wins). But to suggest they get all the calls is factually inaccurate, not to mention childish.
Grow up, Ryan Whoeveryouare. If football causes you this much distress, don't watch. Find something else to do in your mother's basement.
