Dre' Bly Intercepts Matt Ryan, High-Steps His Way to Embarrassing Fumble

Dre' Bly needs to work on his field awareness. After intercepting a Matt Ryan pass on the 49ers' 10-yard-line, Bly started Primetimin' his way down the sidelines, presumably under the impression that he was going to high-step his way into the end zone.

That lasted for about 30 yards, until wide receiver Roddy White stripped Bly and the Falcons recovered. First down Atlanta.

Moving pictures hilarity after the jump.

Fox color guy Daryl Johnston sums it up nicely: "It's a great play by Bly but what are you doing?! Put the ball away -- what are you celebrating for? You're going to get swallowed up in about five more yards."

And five yards later that's exactly what happened. "I mean, this is nonsense," an exasperated Johnston added.

I blame Michael Crabtree. The 49ers were 3-1 before he signed. Now they're 0-1 and Mike Singletary is taking on opposing players.

WHAT IS
BACK PORCH?

The easy answer:
Back Porch exists because FanHouse doesn't have a basement for its bloggers. The bigger picture? BP covers sports news that's funny, off-beat and controversial. In short, it's the other side of sports, covered with an edge. Enjoy.
