If Titans head coach Jeff Fisher is looking for a silver lining, something to motivate his team hours after getting throttled by the Patriots 59-0, maybe this is it: Tom Brady is going to Hell.
At least according to the Amazing Grace Baptist Church, which declared that New England's quarterback is destined for eternal damnation for his sinful existence in this life. Via NESN (via the Huddle)
"Tom Brady has an unwed child, but it's okay because he wins Super Bowls. Tom Brady is teaching us to have sex outside of marriage, to commit fornication, don't marry and do the right thing, don't take responsibility for your actions, have a good time no matter who you hurt in this world, go from sex partner to sex partner, and it's okay because of who I am. How many of you dad's (sic) cheer on Tom in the Super Bowl while your kids are watching?"Not to make light of one's religious beliefs, but this is something you might find written on the walls of an insane asylum ... in feces. (And just so we're clear, nobody thought winning Super Bowls made it okay to have an unwed child; that it was with Bridget Moynahan made it okay.*)
Brady won't be alone in Hell, however. The church has also identified Matt Leinart and Adam Archuleta among many others. Leinart I get -- he also had a child out of wedlock and worse, he parties with Nick Lachey -- but Archuleta? Really? The poor guy was disgraced out of the NFL, cut by the Redskins before the Raiders gave up on trying to make him a linebacker. But that wasn't the low point of his professional career. He was recently released by the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives. (I thought the UFL was like tee ball -- whoever shows up makes the team.) Doesn't matter, apparently. A date with Lucifer is still in his future.
"Engaged to a Playboy Playmate Jennifer Walcott. They have one son. This is called fornication, and we all know what their son is called, the same thing the Bible calls him."Jett James Archuleta is what Adam and Jennifer call their son because, well, that's what they named him. Don't remember reading about that in Sunday School.

Don't we have anything else to do other than digging in people's private lives? If they are not doing it in your house, why do you care?
COount on the good ol' Baptist Church to provide succor and support to the downtrodden. Hey, it's MUCH more fun announcing the damnation of public figures because they don't measure up to your particular version of morality.
Special note to Amazing Grace Baptist Church: you bring great shame upon your church and your denomination when you assume these holier-than-thou stances, and make grand pronouncements that this or that celebrity is "going to hell". If people like YOU are going to heaven, by all means please DO make me an immediate reservation for hell. I'd rather spend an eternity there than have to spend 5 minutes with YOU!
Really. Just how many people in this world have had children out of wedlock and have premarital sex with or even without caring a bit whether Tom Brady is doing it or not. Tom is popular, yes, however I do not believe he is what everyone is copying. Tom doesn't corner the market on "premartial sex" or "illigetimate" children.
OH PLEASE-You would be one of the main people obsessing about Jennifer Anniston and Britney Spears. How much money and time have you wasted talking about idiots who are not "in you home" and would never ever, ever, be in your home if you didn't pay them $500,000 to appear?
Why do we seem so eager to hate in the name of GOD? He teaches LOVE.
I have always said this and its what I do. I mind my own business and I wish everyone else would do the same. It's just not right to talk about some one else because a lot of times people are hurt very much by you sticking your nose in where ut does not belong. Thank-you
Oh, this article is too funny. I'll venture to say that there are some within the congregation of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church, that there are those who have sin beyond what they want to know. Does it make them evil and bound for hell, or is all forgiven? Tom Brady attended a private Catholic school (Junipero Serra High School, San Mateo, Calif.), does that mean he has to follow the laws of the religion? The baptist church is looking for publicity and HELL, they got it!
Yikes! I'm one of those people who believes that religion, like alcohol and fried foods, needs to be taken in moderation. I think a modest dose of faith helps people find a moral compass and lead happier lives...but that's my belief, take it or leave it.
However, when religion becomes all-consuming, judgmental, and oppressive, it is extremely dangerous. That would define these people to a "T".
The God I believe in is loving, understanding, and forgiving. If we were made in his image, then he has faults just like the rest of us. That's just logic, plain and simple.
The "God" these people worship is sadistic, ego-maniacal, and has tremendous self-esteem issues. Their "God" wants you to live life to "worship" him or face eternal torture in hell. What kind of "God" do they believe in?
If you do something as HORRIBLE as create a life without the "blessing" of some fat pastor and donating money to finance his home and useless family, you're hellbound!
Tell you what, Amazing Grace Baptist Church.....sounds to me like YOU'RE the devil worshipers, because that's not God you're listening to, because MY God isn't the twisted deity you describe.
I'll tell you what.....if Brady is going to hell, then Heaven's football team is crapping its pants after this declaration.
Even God is saying "5 Touchdown passes in 10 minutes yesterday? I'm not agreeing to this trade....to hell with you.....Send Jamarcus Russel instead!! He'll be comfortable with all the Raider fans already down there!!"
I also don't think it's fair that ugly people get to go to heaven on a technicality.....the only reason they haven't fornicated is because they CAN'T get laid!
Maybe trying to save their souls!
Mike, if God has faults then He is not God at all because God is perfect. It is true that the Bible says we were created in His image and likeness, but that means that we have a spiritual part, a soul. It can't mean physically we were made in the image of God, because God (besides Jesus becoming 100% human and 100% God at the same time, by the way Jesus was perfect) doesn't have a physical body. Also it couldn't be physical because everyone looks different.
Another thing having sex outside of marriage is wrong(it is sin). The church was out of line if they specifically said he has no possible way to salvation, however they would be right in saying that by all appearances without change the path he is taking appears to lead him to hell. They can't state it with certainty because A) the point when it is too late to be saved is death, so he has time B) only God can judge whether or not someone is going to hell or not.
Only people that are going to hell are the mental moronic midget pastor and members who follow such evil spirit bozo idiot.
I think that is why I truly dislike overly religious people. They do the same damn thing. Friggin hypocrites! I totally agree with you!
aren't they tho??? and more with trash news plopping it all over
NO, tom the loser...they did cheat in the three super bowls before the Giants kicked their butt...also campaigned for bush. If tom believed in the was so much where was his sorry butt???
just another case of crazy religion.
yes & no.its ok 2 have laugh @ these bungholes.i dont think anything theyve stated warrants anyone a date w/ ole Lucifer
I do belive the Bible tells us not to Judge others...so what is this church doing by saying that this man is going to Hell! I think they need to rethink what they are saying. Another comment here is that he's not the only one in the world that does this kind of thing...its not uncommon in today's society.
Idol worship in which men used temple virgins for sex, then paid them was also common in Christ's day.
Saying something is common practice doesn't make it right.
