Leah Ignagni: Steve McNair's Other, Other Woman Is Revealed

Leah Ignagni, a 25-year-old woman from Nashville, Tenn., was also dating Steve McNair at the time of his death, new details from Nashville police revealed Monday night.

According to the case summary, Leah Ignagni confirmed she was dating McNair, who was killed on July 4 in a murder-suicide, and she recalled seeing a woman in a black Cadillac Escalade parked outside his condo two or three weeks before his murder.

Ignagni also said the woman followed her and that she later saw the Escalade circling her block or parked outside her apartment a week or two later. A 2007 black Escalade was co-registered both to Sahel Kazemi and McNair. This backs up earlier case details that stated Kazemi was suspicious of McNair being involved with someone else.

Ignagni told police that McNair visited her around 4 a.m. on July 2, just a couple of hours after Kazemi's DUI arrest, and then he spent the night at Ignagni's apartment before leaving early on July 3.

There was also a string of eerie text messages -- exchanged two hours before the murder-suicide -- that were released as part of the case summary (you can view some of those texts here).

We don't know much about Leah Ignagni, this "other, other" woman McNair was dating, but a quick Google search brings up her MySpace and Twitter accounts, amongst her other social media profiles. It's pretty clear she's a fan of NFL players in general, as she follows Kerry Rhodes, Keith Bulluck and Reggie Bush on her Twitter account.

Even months after McNair's death, it appears this case isn't officially closed. CBS has promised to reveal a "big" mistake that the police department made in the investigation. While police spokesman Don Aaron denied the case summary was a response to a two-part report on CBS' The Early Show, it's hard not to think it was a direct reaction to their investigative push.

"If anyone has information that needs to come to the attention of the police department, we'll be happy to receive it as part of this investigation," Aaron told The Associated Press. "But at this juncture, there has been nothing uncovered that suggests this is not a murder-suicide."

Why am I not surprised? A professional athlete who has not one but two mistresses? Gee, what a shock. I feel sorry for McNair's wife and children, but he got what was coming to him. They need to keep it in their pants! Oh, and let's put all of these athletes up on a pedestal and pay them the big bucks and this is the behavior they exhibit time and time again. The priorities in this country are so screwed up.

How can you say he got what was coming to him? Being murdered is not punishment for anyone. Are you without sin to judge Steve McNair. His punishment like all of us with faults, should only be determined by his maker,not some insensitive dolt like yourself.

You are so right...if these athletes just would act like the rest of the rich and famous (i.e. movie stars, politicians, CEOs, late night television hosts) they would be well behaved family men who never cheat on their wives. What a shame these athletes cannot hold themselves to the standards of so many of the God fearing people of their new economic class.

I know people don't want to say it, so let me, did Mcnair's wife do it? The spouse is normally the first looked at and she isn't even being considered. Maybe she had someone else do it.

A babe in every port....He had lots of money...high profile...known by millions on sight...intitled due to fame...a risk taker as is most men his age and type which makes the sex fun and worth his time...and of course the women...married..not...young or old...good looking or not...all throwing themselves at him most every night....is he now called a bad man...not more because of this then any other man....

I'm not surprised by his addtional mistress, there were probably more but what difference does it make now? All the press is doing is causing more emotional damage to his children. McNair is dead and gone so now the kids have to suffer for his mistakes? Leave them the hell alone.

Steve McNair is dead and gone. Whatever sins he committed in this life, he can answer to the Almighty. Bringing up other women and affairs doesn't do anything for anyone except hurting his wife and kids who are innocent victims themselves. Stop the sensationalized stories in the name of greed and profits. This type of journalism continues to victimize the innocent.

Steve McNair cheated on his wife, apparently with a number of women....did he deserve to be killed? NO! As far as the "whores" coming out of the wood work, this second one did not come out and do a tell all book, she was brought out in the police report, I doubt she wanted that info out there. When it comes to putting people on pedestals, first remember we are all human, and second, be selective as too who your role model is....don't choose someone becase they can run fast, choose someone that does the right thing, that helps others, that stands for something other than themselves.

As I said earlier in another response....Titans season of 0-6 started when they put number 9 on their helmets to "honor" McNair. Honor him for what, he may have been a good quarterback and a nice guy but, he was a slimeball as a father, husband and human being! Let them keep losing.
