Last week the New York Times reported that President Barack Obama was criticized by women's advocates and liberal bloggers for hosting male-only pick-up basketball games.
The Times continues:
"The technical foul over the all-male game has become a nagging concern for a White House that has battled an impression dating to the presidential campaign that Mr. Obama's closest advisers form a boys' club and that he is too frequently in the company of only men - not just when playing sports, but also when making big decisions."Political firestorm averted, it seems. Or, at the very least, momentarily derailed. Last Sunday, Obama played golf at the Army's Ft. Belvoir course, and his chief domestic policy advisor, Melody Barnes, was included in the foursome. She's the first woman to earn the honor so I suppose congratulations are in order.
No political discussion would be complete without The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck weighing in so enjoy:
"If you have your two daughters looking at who's playing basketball in the backyard from your office, ask some women to join you. Get the women out there involved. ... Many people - many people, both conservative and liberal are seeing it as something of concern."Some might say it's more of a concern than fighting two wars, the healthcare debate, and the economy.*

Obama has golfed 24 times on 9 months. Bush golfed 24 times in 3 years. If Bush had golfed 24 times on 9 months what do you think the media would be writing. Would it be puff pieces or what it be he was golfing too much when he should be solving the problems facing America which are huge. What a joke the state run media is.

People are out of work, starving, homeless and dying in the war and Obama is Playing Golf, Basketball at the White House, Dinner Partys and Super Bowl Parties at the White House, going to Broadway Plays, over seas trips, World Series, etc., etc., etc. Give me a break. He can pick the Winners of the NCAA and the Super Bowl, to bad he can't pick a cabinet or the right people for the White House. I would say that President Obama has done more in the last 9 months to help the American people than Bush did in the last 8 years. If you were able to go whenever you wanted, how many times will go golf in 9 months?

There's no such thing as playing too much golf. Lighten up. Dwight Eisenhower played over 900 rounds in 8 years and Woodrow Wilson played over 1400 rounds in far less than eight years. NOBODY ever asked Bush not to play golf, all we really wanted Bush to do was to not lie about the WMD's.

This article already ran it's course days ago. The only thing this shows, is that Obama is playing waaaay too much golf on our taxpayer dollars.
